The Niendorf Piano Company is a German piano manufacture with a 120-year-old history. It was founded in 1896 by Karl and Hermann Niendorf and gained a worldwide reputation, because of its products that are of excellent quality.
To this day, the production takes place in the city of Luckenwalde, which is located closely to the capital city Berlin, Germany. The core competence of the company is the production of individually handcrafted upright and grand pianos. The use of regional and high-class timbers, a cooperation with specialized German suppliers as well as skilled workers guarantee a high-quality standard - Made in Germany-. In production are two upright piano models and four grand piano models. The construction of the new concert grand piano 275 is a milestone in the history of Niendorf.
In October, the very first model 275 will be exhibited at Music China 2017. The famous Austrian pianist Jörg Demus already inaugurates model 275 on September 7, 2017, in the Niendorf concert hall.
What makes a Niendorf piano special is its beautifully crafted and elegant design together with its warm and richly expressive sound.
The whole product line is presented on 80 square meters of exhibition space and includes two upright piano models: 118 and 123, and four grand piano models: 145, 172, 227 and 275, which are all Made in Germany. The latter one is a brand-new construction. The very first Niendorf model 275 was just finished in summer 2017.
This is an important milestone in the history of the company, because this is the biggest Niendorf piano ever made. Right before Music China 2017, it is being inaugurated by the famous Austrian pianist Jörg Demus in the Niendorf concert hall on September 7, 2017. Next to the classic black design, we specialize on veneered pianos. Depending on personal tastes and wishes, these veneers can be chosen individually and freely. This year, we finished producing our new series Niendorf & Hemprich, which will also be introduced in our booth.
The veneered Niendorf model 123 is especially beautiful, because of its interesting mixed design. While only the upper- and lower doors of this model are veneered with walnut-burl wood, the rest of the piano is black polished. If black, white, walnut or mahogany – there is no limit of design choices. A warm, well-balanced sound is characteristic for this 123 cm high piano, that is built to be a lifelong companion.
The mahogany salon grand piano 172 is a particularly elegant and luxurious instrument. In accurate manual work, the veneer is carefully selected and attached by skilled Niendorf employees. Its sound is wonderfully clear, but powerful and expressive at the same time.
With a sound similar to Niendorf model 172, this concert grand piano with a length of 227 cm is even more powerful and majestic. For 120 years of Niendorf tradition it has been the biggest model built. Since this year, 2017, a brand-new construction with the length of 275 cm is introduced. It is the biggest piano ever built by Niendorf.
For the very first time in the 120-year-old history of Niendorf, we included the concert grand piano 275 into our series. Together with experts, musicians, supporters and the international star of the piano world – Jörg Demus – we are going to inaugurate and celebrate the first ...| » Further reading
